As 2015 comes to a close, we take a look back to see what the year has been like… and it has certainly it been busy!

We had our second Nikon Europe Film Festival this year; thirty-fifth Nikon Photo Contest 2014-2015, and Nikon Pro Magazine celebrated its 20 year anniversary.

We’ve launched 15 new cameras; 8 new NIKKOR lenses; and a multitude of accessories and apps (as listed below), with EISA Award for Best Product ‘European Consumer D-SLR Camera 2015-2016’ & TIPA award for ‘Best Entry Level DSLR’ going to the Nikon D5500, TIPA Award for ‘Best Professional DSLR’  to Nikon D810, ‘and the Red Dot Award for Product Design 2015  to the Nikon 1 J4, Nikon 1 S2 and the COOLPIX S6900.

Also, production of NIKKOR lenses reached a staggering 95 million lenses!

When it comes to working with photographers, we helped 4 photographers ‘Elevate the Everyday‘ by challenging them to find beauty in an ordinary car park…

We brought David de Rueda to Abandoned Places all over Europe to help him realize his ambition of exploring forgotten urban places through photography.

And last, but most certainly not least, 2015 has been a year brim-full of fantastic images and videos made by you, our dear fans! So far, 1 million Nikon photos have been shared by you on the ‘I AM Nikon’ Flickr group, not to mention all the other great Nikon groups across the web. We also loved coming across Lothar Lenz’s Nikon Coolpix P900’s moon test video, we hope to see more of that in 2016!

As we approach the New Year, we want to thank you all for being with Nikon. May 2016 be a year of more accomplishments and great self-discovery through photography, Happy New Year!
