In our recent Facebook question, we asked about the times when you wished you had you Nikon to take that all important shot. Thanks to everyone who commented on the question – we had many fantastic stories behind some of the moments you wish you’d have caught. Here’s a selection of some of your comments:
Gudny ÅBerg commented: “Mine would have been after a job interview during winter. The weather was great and on my way home there was a moose standing close to the road eating off a tree. I stopped the car but didn’t have a camera with me. I am sure it would have been a fantastic photo.”
Daniel MrKman Kaufmann recalls: “My ‘I wish’ moment must have been when I saw an old couple, holding hands, running, trying to catch the train. That was a really emotional moment and would have been a perfect black and white picture.”
Nature was definitely a theme running through many of the comments. Another one that stood out was sunsets. Gavin Coertzen’s post describes his I wish I had my Nikon moment: “A week or two ago, I saw an awesome sunset, with a set of, and the only, clouds creating a walkway to the sun. The clouds were scattered, the sun’s orange colour lit up the clouds against a perfect blue skyline. It was a missed opportunity and I still finding myself looking out the window to see if it happens again!!”
Jonas Powell posted: “I hate waking up early, but every Tuesday I had to wake up at 6 to get to my school by 7. One morning in probably October, I was driving into school and saw this little valley, with the sun just rising over the green mountains, creating a perfect black and orange silhouette. The valley was filled with fog, and as I continued to look at it, a silhouetted hot air balloon rose out of the fog. It was incredible.”
Thanks again to everyone who submitted their tales.
The moral of these stories? Keep your Nikon with you at all times!!!
